Connections

I am connecting the book Hunger Games with my life. In this story a girl named Katniss has to take charge for her family because her father died and her mother just ignored them. In my life i have to take care of my little brother Jaden who is 9 and my sister Alicia who is 16 because my mom doesn't take care of them at all she doesn't even answer the phone to them or feed them. Peeta Mellark is a baker's son with an abusive mother. In my life I have no one who gets abused that I know of or a son to a baker. Katniss's mother abandoned the kids and only came out to make food for the kids then go back to her room but the kids force her to stay and eat like the old times before starvation. My mother goes to work every day and doesn't answer the phone if we are dying until we show up at her work to take care of us. She won't even make food sometimes so we would go to bed hungry or we would make some type of food that would hopefully satisfy mainly my little brother who comes first before me.
